Now take the German agriculture minister to fight for the meat. He considers it misleading to call products such as vegetarian schnitzel reports TT.

To call the products for the vegan currywurst or vegetarian schnitzel is to mislead consumers to believe the minister of agriculture Christian Schmidt. Now he wants that these and similar terms are prohibited.

TT quotes the German newspaper Bild:

“I don’t want to we’ll pretend that these pseudokötträtter are meat dishes,” says Christian Schmidt.

He has also raised the issue to the EUROPEAN commission by requesting that the commission consider changing the rules for product labelling. Labelling rules applying to the milk and cheese should also meat, he believes.
