Nissan saves Mitsubishi – New Technology

Nissan buys a third of Mitsubishi Motors, which ended in significantly under fire after details about cheating with consumption numbers.

Mitsubishi Motors has lost 42 percent in value since it became known that the company cheated with data on consumption figures, first for mini-cars of brands Mitsubishi and Nissan, but later also for other models in the Mitsubishi group.

Nissan can now for about 18 billion to buy a third of Mitsubishi Motors, and will be then the single overthrow the owner of the company.

Nissan in turn, owned 43.4 percent by French Renault, and in turn has 15 per cent stake in Renault.

Mitsubishi for many years been a supplier of vehicles for Nissan in the domestic market, where the brand has had a setback.
