Tires pirates got quite a stir in the local media. The pirates claimed to be an activist group in the spring made itself known to night change tires on cars that still run with studded winter tires.
Several editors received press releases where Tyres pirates warned residents that they would come to their particular city.
During the day went on the Korean tire manufacturer Hankook out and explained that they were those who were behind it all and that everything’s just been a publicity campaign.
Smålandspostens news director Jens Pehrson was one of many who received the tip that activist group Tyres pirates. Now he goes to hard attacks against Hankook.
– We received a press release that they would come to Vaxjo. I put a reporter to check on this when the tires pirates emailed us and said they would come to Vaxjo. After a few hours of work, including calls to organsationen concerned, “Hasse firefighter” who was tired to death run colleagues and so on so we chose still end not to write because we could coat who was behind it all, and since we did not find any police reports or other from their previous alleged actions, says Jens Pehrson to Dagens media and continues:
– Hankook and the stupid media agency they have hired for this idiotic artifice has done what they can to fool to editorial copy. It’s a fucking abomination. This is not at all if they want to disclose the environmental impact or the like. They just want to peddle tires and lurking while newsrooms. This is a criminal activity and they have definitely gone too far.
Jens Pehrson has the past week had email conversations with Hankook. Read his answers to the tire manufacturer:
“Hello! Please remove all your contact information to Smålandsposten from your mailing list.” Tyres pirates “contacted us last week, we chose not to write when the group does not could show enough evidence that it exists at all.
Today, I get a message that it is you who is behind the fictitious group.
So you have willfully been out to mislead and deceive us to write about you. in no noble purpose, even if that is what you signs, but an advertising purpose.
I had been rude, I had written the father to hell, now I’m not so instead I ask you therefore to remove us from all your mailing lists and never to contact us.
Sincerely
Jens Pehrson
New Chef
