Norwegian media group Schibsted is considering selling Aftonbladet and competitor Bonnier, which owns Express, now sits and counts on a bid, said the Norwegian business newspaper Dagens Næringsliv.

The information dismissed by Raoul Grünthal, CEO of Schibsted Sweden:

– It is absolutely wrong. I can deny outright. Bonnier would buy Aftonbladet is an absurd thought. Then it is more likely that Grönköpings Veckoblad would buy Expressen, he said.

Why?

– Aftonbladet is not for sale and it is an illogical business, says Raoul Grünthal.
