Electrolux will move operations at the factory in Mariestad to Hungary. The employees are informed of the decision today, reports the P4 Skaraborg.
The 250 employees at the refrigerator plant received the news at 11 o’clock in the day.
– Of course it is a very bad news to give to employees, says plant manager Magnus Karlsson to P4 Skaraborg.
The move begins next year. What will happen to the factory premises and the employees are not yet clear.
The company is looking for someone who wants to run the business.
The current production will be carried out in Hungary instead. They reason indicates Electrolux production costs in Hungary are lower.
