Expensive eldagar in southern Sweden – Vasterbotten Courier

The last ten weekdays, consumers in southern Sweden had to pay significantly more for their electricity than those in other parts of the country have been doing.

“Transmission Problems of electricity from north to south because of decommissioned nuclear reactors driving up the price in southern Sweden,” says Nils-Gunnar From, president of Storuman Energy, in a press release.

During most weekdays between 4 and 17 June, the price of electricity in southern Sweden twice as high as in the rest of the country, but it also occurred that it was almost three times higher during this period.
