Latest Jobs figure for Sweden – Business World

The number of unemployed in Sweden rose by 5,426 people to 187,051 people during the week 25.

In a comparison with the corresponding week a year ago, the number of unemployed decreased by 9,288 persons (-8,918 last week), according to an update from the Employment Service.

Jobseekers in programs with activity support totaled 170,521 people, which was 3,505 fewer than a week earlier. Compared with a year ago, the number has increased by 1,837 persons (+1651 last week).

The number of people who found work during the week amounted to 13,441, compared with 12,241 the week before.

The number of people registered as jobseekers totaled 12,500, compared with 13,039 weeks before.

16 371 new vacancies were reported, compared with 19,310 weeks before.
