STOCKHOLM (AFX) The UK inflation is likely to recover strongly towards the 2 percent target in as the temporary effects of falling oil prices and the stronger pound decreases.

It said Kristin Forbes, a member of the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee, MPC, on Wednesday evening, according to Bloomberg News.

“Inflation appears to be on track towards the goal at the beginning of 2016, “she said.

According to Kristin Forbes visible as yet no evidence that the low inflation has held down wage growth to any significant extent.

In a September interview with ITV News on Wednesday said Kristin Forbes that the next move in interest rates would be upwards, “and it comes in the not too distant future.”

“There comes a point when we need to adjust interest rates, possibly before inflation close to 2 per cent,” she said.
