Trumps way forward to be nominated as the Republican presidential candidate before the autumn elections seem straightforward, since his last rivals pulled out of the fight. Real estate mogul has been pressed on the details of their policies and in an interview on CNBC sketches how he wants to pave the way for a strong economy.
– We will reduce taxes significantly and we should do away with a huge amount of regulations. Business people talking on rules than on taxes, he says in the interview.
Trump also wants to refinance the US long-term debt by buying back government securities at lower prices, depending on the interest rate. He warns what an interest rate hike would mean for US government debt.
– If the interest rate goes up just one percent, it would be disastrous for the economy.
