– We said yes, but the building said no.

a new commandment

the mediators then chose one to present a new bid with the only “brand” – the wage increase of 2.2 percent as LO and the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise agreed.

– It meant for a matter of course say yes. We expected a yes. But where are we now with the Construction issued notice which is the greatest of all time, says Ola Månsson.

Mats Åkerlind, vice president and negotiator for the Swedish Construction Federation, explained during the press conference motive behind the combination of mirror lock-outs and consistency lockout.

– in this way, people are having on the employers’ side slightly more control over the situation and dispensgivning and the like. However, we do not like disorganized or members of other unions. They will be offered work in so far as it goes. We see it as a purely precautionary measure to protect our member companies in this extremely difficult situation.

The measure entitling firms to the conflict compensation.

Up to 12,000 affected

10,000 affected according to the Swedish Construction Federation estimates.

– Maybe even up to 12,000, says Mats Åkerlind.

– The strike that has become feels irresponsible. We assume that the building takes its responsibility and cancel the strike, says Ola Månsson.

– the mediators have given us two different bids and still chooses Building resorting to strike action. The lockout is about protecting our members, he said.

– Ideally this evening.
