M-the proposal for housing to the newly arrived – Aftonbladet

Policy. the Conservatives are proposing measures that municipalities should be able to receive the new arrivals.

– We need to get this to work in reality, ” says M-leader Anna Kinberg Batra.

Many municipalities have problems to find housing for the new arrivals which they must receive under the mandatory bosättningslagen.

but the party still stands behind the law, which was implemented after an agreement with the government. Kinberg Batra stresses, however, that municipalities must get the prerequisites to be able to live up to the law.

“Better than the gym at school”

Many of the M proposals are known from the past. The conservatives want new arrivals to dwell longer on the Swedish Migration board facilities for asylum seekers when the municipality they have been designated to have a hard time finding housing. The government has temporarily extended the deadline from two to four months, but it is not enough according to M.

the Party also proposes that the municipalities should be able to buy seats that are empty on the Migration asylboende. According to M, it is a better option than to place people in gymnasiums or that the municipalities are buying into condominiums or pay for hotels.

Sharing

the Party also wants the municipalities to take over the contract which the Swedish migration board has on apartments for asylum seekers.

another suggestion is that the young newcomers in residential care should have to share rooms.

– It is not obvious that one should have private rooms. There are young guys who can share a room, ” says M’s integrationspolitska spokesperson Elisabeth Svantesson.
