Stefan Löfven: “I love fermented herring” – Expressen

Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (S) love fermented herring.

On Thursday, the premier of the sour fish in Kallax – and the Prime Minister had a seat at the honor table.

– I like very much fermented herring. It is very good and one of the few dishes that watering of the mouth, he said.

Stefan Löfven visited Norrbotten week – a visit well timed with the annual sour herring premiere.

on Thursday evening celebrated the traditional premiere at Kallax community center. The leaves had a place at the honorary table to taste the year’s fermented herring – which according to many is a real delicacy.



Eat fermented herring several times a year

In particular, the Prime Minister is fond of fermented herring. For Norrbotten Courier, he says that he loves the sour fish.

“He thought it was yummy”

The Salt Master Anders Landelius accounted for salting of fish.

– He was there and ate and enjoyed. He said it was yummy, says Landelius of the Prime Minister.

He continues:

– It was nothing fancy, it will so many people.

Salt Master Anders Landelius says that Stefan Löfven was nice and the Prime Minister were also up on stage to tell a story.

surströmming is loved by many but disliked by others – mainly those who have problems with smell. And it usually does – as most do – eaten in a clamp with bread, potatoes, sour cream and onion.

Another familiar person who loves fermented herring is the actor Stefan Sauk who is honorary citizen of Kallax – he has only missed a sour herring premiere since 1991.

– Now I work at the opera in Malmö. I wrote into the contract that I could not repeat it 18 August, despite the fact that there are three weeks left until the premiere, said Sauk to Norrbotten’s Courier.
