Cisco Systems terminates about 14 000 employees, nearly 20 percent of the networking giant’s global work force, according to what technology the site CRN reports citing sources close to the company.
the California-based company is expected to announce the cuts within the next few weeks, as part of the transition to a software-centric organization.
Cisco has more than 70,000 employees. Reuters has not been able to get a comment.
