Olofsson was fired because of NUON – Expressen

Olofsson was fired from LKAB’s board after have refused to declare itself if it criticized Nuonaffären.

It confirms Mikael Damberg and considering that she has exhausted his confidence, writes Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet.

– There is an issue we take seriously because we think the state companies should act admirably, says Mikael Damberg to SvD.

He also told the newspaper that he repeatedly sought Olofsson – even though she said she had not been told why.

On Friday revealed Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet that the previous C-leader Maud Olofsson get fired from state-owned mining company LKAB’s board.

She then stated that she had not been told why and wanted to Industry Minister Mikael Damberg, S, would touch if the reason.

– Are you responsible minister, has also the responsibility to appoint the best boards . And it has not disclosed any criticism of me, ‘said Maud Olofsson, Expressen.

According to Svenska Dagbladet it was about criticizing Nuonaffären – then Olofsson during his time as Minister of Economic decided that Vattenfall would buy Dutch Nuon.

Last year, refused Olofsson crop up Committee on the Constitution, KU, hearing of the ministers responsible.

Now confirm Mikael Damberg for the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet that it is behind the decision to let her go from LKAB s Board of Directors.

For Svenska Dagbladet he says it will be difficult for Maud Olofsson to get more assignments in state companies.

– I think it will be complicated to expect that you get trust from government organization in a position where they have just failed to appear before Parliament when the constitutional committee wants to ask questions about Nuonaffären, and what happened when the state did its worst commercial of all time, says Mikael Damberg to SvD.

He also says that he and his press secretary made several attempts to contact Minister Maud Olofsson to “explain what lies behind the decisions we have made.”

Mikael Damberg stress that they do not question Maud Olofsson’s competence or “her commitment to growth policy and regional development” – but it’s all about confidence in governmental enterprises.
