Ted Cruz tvärvänder – supports Donald Trump – financial times

After months of considerations go Texassenatorn Ted Cruz now out, and supports the Republican’s controversial presidential candidate Donald Trump.

the News comes as something of a shock when Ted Cruz as late as on the Republican partikonvetet in Cleveland, Ohio, in July, buades of the scene since he refused to endorse Donald Trump’s candidacy and urged the party’s voters to "vote their conscience".

Texassenatorn and the former presidential candidate said now that he has decided to vote for his former rival.

"After months of consideration, prayer, and självransakan I have decided to vote for the Republican candidate," writes Cruz in a Facebook post on Friday, according to CBS News.

He gives two reasons for his change of stance.

The first is that he already last year, promised to support the republican party nominee, a promise he says he intends to keep. The second reason is that he believes that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is "unfit to be president".
"Donald Trump is the only thing that stands in her way. And if you don’t want to see Hillary Clinton as president, I urge you to vote for him," writes Ted Cruz.

Ted Cruz and Donald Trump have had their battles. Among other things, pulled their wives in the spring into a twitterbråk after Trump threatened to "put the cards on the tables" if Cruz’s wife, Heidi Cruz. Ted Cruz has also called Trump "a pathological liar". Presidential candidate and fastighetsmiljardären has also alleged that the senator’s dad was involved in the assassination of president John F Kennedy. When the Democratic vice presidentkandiat, Tim Kaine, on Friday commented that Cruz now supports the Republican presidential candidate, he said that he was "not entirely surprised", writes the news agency AP. He also added that he himself would never endorse someone who treated his dad so that Donald Trump has dealt with Ted Cruz’s dad.
