In the debate article writing Lena Holm , Secretary General of the Mayflower’s Federation, the Kalmar County is the only one where it made a contract with various optics according LOV (Law on the system of choice). According to Lena Holm makes the contract that the grant can actually cover the cost of a pair of glasses, which otherwise often be too expensive.

The county councilor Linda Fleetwood represents the Left Party, which together with the government pushed through reform. She shares Lena Holm’s picture.

– The government gives a general government grant to all counties and regions – then we give 800 crowns for each optician, says Linda Fleetwood on how reform works.

How does it work in practice?

– opticians merge all costs and then receive the 800 crowns by the county council.

cost exceeds 800 SEK, the family can be liable for the excess amount. But according to Linda Fleetwood will contract making it possible to manage without it.

– Have you made a good contract that covers virtually everything.
