LO and the Swedish business community agree that this year so far met the wage agreement is good and that the other unions should be put on the same level. But in LO agreement is still controversial, and the question is what happens on the LO’s board meeting this afternoon.

The so-called “mark” , the industry is internationally competitive should the norm for wage increases across the labor market, has dominated the Swedish labor market since the early 1990s. The result has been rising real wages and low inflation. Trade unions, employers and politicians have been largely agreed that the model has been good for Sweden.

But last fall was broken unity. LO unions in the construction industry, trade and Municipal presented their wage demands without committing to follow the industry norm; LO’s coordination was broken. The employer has however been determined to defend the brand.

Late on Sunday evening cartoon LO leadership with chairman Karl-Petter Thorwaldsson spearheaded an agreement with the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise to recommend other affiliates to keep within the limits given in the industry agreements and the Commercial Employees’ agreement on wage increases of 2.2 per cent or 590 crowns.

But the recommendation is very controversial. Construction Unions, which requires much more than what they have so far met the conditions given, will hardly be satisfied with the LO base type them on the nose, especially in teams with arch-enemy on the employer side.

TT sought representatives for construction unions, but received no response. At 12 o’clock the LO’s board meeting. Karl Petter Thorwaldsson told TT that he is not anchored or probed affiliates idea before the agreement with Swedish Enterprise made.

Kommunal agreement Secretary Lenita Granlund welcomes the agreement between LO and the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.

“We respecting the industry standard and continue to press our demands: increases in real wages for all members and an additional wage bet on nurses, “writes Granlund in a press release.

last week the cartoon partners in the industry a one-year contract which provides wage increases of 2.2 per cent. The parties to the trade followed with its agreement yesterday. Several compartments in the construction industry such as construction and painters have announced a strike for their demands which largely deals with the piecework system. These compartments are included in the constellation 6F requesting higher pay increases than the industry.

Swedish Enterprise and LO recommend the social partners who have left to conclude an agreement to consider the Industry as normative, writes LO base Karl-Petter Thorwaldsson and Carola Lemne, CEO of Swedish Enterprise, in an agreement.

“Swedish Enterprise and LO recommend jointly the following parties on employers and employees to regard these contracts as the norm in terms of wage increases in both the percentage crowns” they write.

the agreement between LO and the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise shows that LO, however, reserves the right to support Municipal in efforts to raise wages beyond undersköterskekollektivets mark.
