Elected officials did not pay tax – Sydsvenskan

On SVT list are also three former MPs: Marianne Kierkemann (2005-2011) and Walburga Habsburg Douglas (2006-2014), both moderates and Christian Democrat Otto von Arnold (2007-2013). All three failed to declare overseas assets as they were paid by Parliament.

– Probably because I did not really have an eye on what I had, declares Kierkemann.

Otto von Arnold says that his access is an old heritage of the family from 1900 and explains why he repented:

– it’s never good to break the law and it was of course a good time.

Many others list will not talk, among them several unnamed local politicians. Complicated old heritage seems to be a common explanation of those not underestimated in the past.

Many people are in the royal family environment. One of them is Sigvard Bernadottes widow Marianne count of wisborg, like 2012 Tax stated that she had 44 million kronor untaxed abroad. Another who have repented are former Stewardess (1994-2015) Alice Trolle-Wachtmeister and her husband Count Hans-Gabriel Trolle-Wachtmeister. The couple Trolle-Wachtmeister, like Otto von Arnold, belongs to a series of big landowners who received millions in EU subsidies while not paid taxes on their foreign assets, according to SVT.

None of the circuit around the court wants to explain himself.

SVT revealed on Monday and Tuesday, although a number of business peaks in recent years made himself corrections. In Wednesday’s program will be more of them. Peter Wallenberg, who died in 2015, has reported a previously unknown salary of 17 million just for 2007. Karl Adam Bonnier reports in turn a previously hidden fortune of 80 million.

In total Swedes who hide money abroad annually withhold the Treasury over 7 billion.
