Toyota and Nissan recalls 6.5 million cars worldwide .
The reason: The cars’ airbags have been identified as the cause of five deaths, reports Sky News.
The scandal with the airbags from Takata is one of the largest in the automotive industry ever.
At least 17 million cars have already revoked after several deaths identified as a result of the air bag exploded with great force and shot out metal shards. The error is said to be affected by humidity.
Now recall Toyota and Nissan total of 6.5 million cars because of the error. Toyota withdraws five million and Nissan rest. A spokesman from Toyota tells Sky News that it concerns around 126,000 cars in Europe.
The error in Toyota cars are mostly found in models from March 2003 until November 2007. In total, 35 models affected by the error .
