The bill for the disasters, the highest in five years – Västerbottens-kuriren (the Courier)

the Bill for the natural disasters that hit the world in 2016, amounted to sek 1 600 billion, according to the German insurance group Munich Re.

the Amount is the highest in five years and represents an increase of two thirds compared with the year before. The number of casualties for natural disasters, however, was significantly lower: 8 700 in 2016, compared with 25 to 400 in 2015.
