Norway: stavanger, oslo-proposal for the abolition of kontantplikt – Svenska Dagbladet

The Norwegian ruling party Høyres digitaliseringskommitté want to ditch the stores ‘ duty to receive cash prior to 2020, in order to speed up the transition to a society without coins and banknotes. Companies who want to receive cash to be able to continue to do so, while those of the cost – or for security reasons want to avoid to be able to phase out the handling of cash, said Nikolai Astrup, member of parliament for stavanger, oslo, to Finansavisen.
