two heavy people with great experience from Nordea’s board of directors that will disappear from Nordea in our. Both the dane, Tom Knutzen, and vice chairman of the board Marie Ehrling has served on the board of the bank 10 years each – but will not continue in the board of directors after the annual general meeting on 16 march.

Nordea has been hit by several scandals in recent years, among other things, the bank’s involvement in the Panama scandal and the attack on the bank. The Swedish financial supervisory authority stated in the summer that Nordea’s control of terrorfinansiering and money laundering was basically non-existent during the years 2012 and 2013.

Dagens Industri earlier on Wednesday night revealed that Marie Ehrling could be on the road away from the board. The high workload and any conflicts should have been some possible reasons for her decision.

According to the SvD Näringlivs sources, related to Nordea’s management, it is mainly personal reasons that are the basis for the phenomenon.

However, it is not unlikely that Marie Ehrlings high workload has been an important reason for her defection. Ehrling sitting on two ordförandeposter on the stockholm stock exchange Securitas and Telia Company.

Nordea-board real veteran Lars G Nordström, 73 years old, is not, however, on the way away from the board, according to data to SvD Näringsliv. The veteran, who served on the board since 2003, is reported to instead have a strong position in the board of directors and will remain in place.

who will replace Ehrling and Knutzen, is still unknown.
