Malaysian mutskandal grow – Razak under fire – Svenska Dagbladet

department of Justice in Switzerland has found suspicious transactions in the swiss financial sector. According to the authorities, is evidence that up to 800 million dollars, or seven billion may have been misappropriated in a bedrägeriupplägg with elements of pyramid schemes. The assets of the fund shall have passed a sub-fund in Singapore.

Razak launched the fund in 2009 to invest in projects for economic development. The fund shall be financed, inter alia, a hollywood movie, real estate and konstinköp. Razak came under fire when a large sum of money was discovered on his private account. According to him it was a gift from the saudi royal family.

Scandal contains in addition to a subpoena from Malaysia’s former prime minister, even a subpoena from the U.S. department of justice.
