Danske Bank offers employees severance pay, …

Danske Bank gives to its employees an offer of voluntary severance. The offer was sent out on Monday and the employees will receive three weeks of reflection, according to the site Finance.dk.

the Bank’s income is under pressure due to low interest rates and overall low activity in the Danish economy. The goal is to reduce costs, but Danske Bank says no how many services you want to do away with, or how much you hope to save in this way.

In the previous year, the total costs to 21.8 billion Danish kroner. The bank has 19.400 employees at the moment but severance pay is addressed only to persons in Denmark, and particularly against employees in the personal banking and business banking where 7.700 employees.

“We have put no figure on how many we want to apply for the program. Now we see how many people enter, and so we take position according to it,” Kenni Leth, head of Danske Bank, to the site.
