UKIP leader Nigel Farage depart – Aftonbladet

During the Monday morning announced that Nigel Farage that he jumps off the leader of the anti-EU British party UKIP.

– I campaigned to get back my land, now I have my life back.

Already last year announced Farage that he would resign but then decided to take back the decision. This said, however, he will not take place again when the Party has now taken up a good position.



Succeeded in the fall

On Twitter thank Mr Farage for the support he received in the party and says, to be happy with the outcome of the British referendum.

Just a few minutes after Farage announced his resignation tweeted UKIP colleague Douglas Carswell an emoji, picturing a smiley face with sunglasses .

Douglas Carswell is Ukips single member of the British Parliament, but it is well known that these two men do not pull smoothly – and Farage added that he would not bet money on it will be Carswell who succeeds him. Otherwise he would not give their view on who should succeed him. The new party leader will be elected at the party congress in the autumn.

Mr Farage himself represent his party in the European Parliament. Asked whether he will remain in the remaining two years, he replied that he hoped that the British will be out in Europe in less time than that – and he thus the Parliament.
