Visby (Direct) We have an attractive corporate tax rate in Sweden, even for a small corporate tax rate in the UK.

It said Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson told reporters on Monday.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne announced on Monday that he plans to lower the corporate tax rate to below 15 percent in order to attract investment to the country.

Magdalena Andersson noted that the uncertainty in the UK certainly get many investors hesitate to invest there or elsewhere and that Britain is in a difficult position right now.

She does, however, not a major threat of a new company tax race.

“Sweden has a competitive corporate tax rate, then it is also about the effective corporate tax rate,” she said.

Sweden’s attractiveness as an investment country in relation to the UK is also very much greater today than before Brexit, according to the finance minister.

She said that the finance Ministry should carry out a new analysis of the economic situation in Sweden and will return with new forecasts on Harpsund the end of August.

She called the stock market recovery after the initial race that came after Brexit for “interesting”.

“it is interesting that stock markets have recovered in this way as they have done,” she said.
