Though retail was lower in April than in March, down from plus 10.5 percent to 10.1.
Oil production fell by 5.6 percent and coal production by 11 percent compared to April 2015. Production of natural gas rose by 5.6 percent.
China’s growth fell last year to 6.9 percent, the lowest in 25 years.
