Unexpectedly large sales spigot – Private Businesses

Clas Ohlson’s total sales fell 5 percent in March. In local currencies, sales declined by 2 percent.

According to SME Direkt forecast compilation was expected that total sales would decrease 0.2 percent, and that sales in local currencies would increase 2.7 percent.

Sales in March were negatively impacted by a calendar effect of about 6 percentage points due to fewer trading days compared with the previous year, writes Clas Ohlson.

in Sweden, sales were unchanged while Norway showed a decrease of 12 percent and Finland, an increase of 1 percent. Sales in the region outside the Nordic region decreased by 7 percent.
