she thinks Painters’ Union did the right thing did not agree to the mediators bid.

– There is so much more than the commandment came, she says, pointing, among other things, on what has become the contentious issue: chord, says Linda Li Käld.

– it’s a big part of our agreement, where one of the employers put a wedge right into the chord, and it is an important issue for us painters, she says.

another issue that engages Linda Li Käld is the so-called pregnant payment.

– There may be a female painter to be dismissed for redundancy during the time you are at home on pregnant money. And it is an important matter of course for the Painters’ Union. There is a gender issue, she said.

In the debate surrounding the strike, it first put forward accusations that the strike will be a test for the construction strike that is given notice and to be breaking out on Tuesday. Both the Painters’ Union and Building belonging to 6F, a collaboration between the different LO unions, and require 3.2 percent raise, significantly more than the 2.2 percent industry parties agreed last week.
