Construction strike may soon be over – Sveriges Radio

– Yes, we go into the net during the weekend, it’s the work on Monday. But there is a way to go. We are not in the goal yet, says Johan Lindholm.

Since Tuesday strike in 2600 construction workers around the country. Employers have announced a lockout which would affect 10,000 of the building members starting next week. The tone between the parties has been fierce. The door is closed, the Building Chairman Johan Lindholm said regarding changes in the payroll system. Not one decimal over 2.2 percent salary increases, Ola Månsson on the employers’ organization, the Swedish Construction Federation said.

Just 2.2 percent is what called the , the level that the exporting industry put on and LO and the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise has recommended. Construction has requested an increase of 3.2 percent. But now, says building that employers are lying when they say that building requirements included the salaries of the so-called mark.

– You use this lie that the strike is about pay and hide what it really is all about – it’s the attack on our industry wage system, says Johan Lindholm.

As you can imagine the level of wage increases of 2.2 percent?

– Yes, in the same breath as the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise and the Swedish Trade Union Confederation said it was a recommendation, and we got the powerful low wages which we wanted, and that many groups can now sit at 590 crowns in the pot – it clearly there is a security for other unions to have it. And we are very proud of, it’ll builders stretch up to, because they have very much contributed to it, says Johan Lindholm.

But is not this all very confusing, you’ve spoken about 3.2 percent?

– When we went home from a broken LO coordination and this recommendation came in, so it’s about this recommendation is better than the compromise we said yes last fall.
