Rising Swedish industrial production – Business World

Sweden’s industrial output rose by 4.6 per cent in January. Compared with the previous month, production was up by 0.6 percent, according to Statistics Sweden.

Analysts had expected an annual rate of 4.1 percent and a monthly rate of +1, 5 percent, according to SIX News survey.

“Among the industry sub-sectors were electronics industry which recorded the greatest rise while industry for petroleum products reported the biggest decline,” writes Statistics Sweden.

in a comparison between November -januari and the preceding three months, industrial output was up 0.3 percent seasonally adjusted.

the data for January are preliminary.

the change in industrial production in December compared to November was revised up by 0.2 percentage points to a decline of 2.7 percent since the previous publication. The change in production in December compared with the same month of the previous year has been revised upwards by 1.7 percentage points to a rise of 2.0 percent.
