Swedbank’s CEO gets fired – Aftonbladet

Swedbank’s CEO Michael Wolf gets fired.

In a press release stated that the Board took the initiative for change.

Birgitte Bonnesen has been appointed acting CEO .

Effective immediately, Michael Wolf, 52, to leave the post of president and CEO, said Swedbank in a press release.

He comes during the notice period of 12 months to retaining 75 percent of their salary. Then, additional severance pay of 12 months, with 75 percent of salary. Then Michael Wolf had an annual salary of 13 million kronor, he can count on to collect 9.75 million crowns for two years, unless he obtains a new job, a total of 19.5 million.

The work has now begun to recruit a new CEO of Swedbank. Meanwhile, Birgitte Bonnesen appointed acting CEO. She will furthermore continue working as head of Swedbank’s Swedish banking operations.
