Small job opportunities for those without upper secondary education – Sveriges Radio

– Job opportunities for those who do not have a high school education is very limited. It competes simply with very many who have a complete secondary education, as there are job opportunities very small, said Håkan Gustavsson, an analyst at the Employment Service.

The labor shortage is the largest in Sweden in almost ten years, according to the employment Service’s latest jobs forecast where you have looked closely at how demand is among the 200 occupations.

Håkan Gustavsson, analyst at the employment Service, said that the labor market is strong right now and that there is a good chance for many to get a job, but it requires to have complete secondary education.

Gustavsson says it although created even easier job with a lower level of training, particularly in the hotel and restaurant business, but competition for those jobs is very hard.

He believes both that the simple jobs need to be more and the need to create more educational opportunities for those without upper secondary education today.
