The social network Facebook is now valued at over $ 250 billion, slightly more than 2100 billion. Facebook was floated in May 2012 and no other company has achieved such a high market capitalization as fast on Standard & amp; Poor’s 500 Index.

The rapid increase in value may indicate that investors have confidence that the company can continue to increase its advertising revenue, writes Bloomberg. During the first quarter of this year, revenues increased by 46 percent compared with the same period last year.

Facebook is now the ninth most valued company in the Standard & amp; Poor’s 500 Index. The share was on Monday hosted 90:10 dollars, compared with $ 38 at the IPO.
