– It will be a really nice summer with balmy temperatures in both the southern and central Sweden, says Alexandra Olsson, meteorologist at SMHI .
In addition, it looks to be the hottest day – again today. Yesterday had Oskarshamn 22.9 degrees, but during the National Day sees that record out to turn.
– There is chance to get up to 25 degrees in the eastern parts of Småland. The warmest it will be in the northern part of Kalmar County.
But to begin with, offer Saturday, then the rain and thunder, moving east.
– So it can be quite useful to have with for example an umbrella if you go out during the day.
In northern Sweden the situation is the reverse – the day begins with sunshine but then spreads a rain northward.
– At the end of the day stretches rain area from Jämtland and Medelpad and north. Best chances for sunshine, we have unfortunately only over southern and central Sweden, but where it actually looks like it will be perfect BBQ weather, says Alexandra Olsson.
