New protests against the G7 – tried to block the move – Aftonbladet

While Merkel and Obama munching sausage in nearby Krün has a hundred protesters stopped by the German police.

G7 opponents tried to block the way the meeting participants would run on.

During the Sunday morning trying to over 100 G7 opponents blocking a road in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, near the luxury hotel Schloss Elmau where the summit will be held.

It was the road that leading politicians from all over the world and other high-ranking delegates would come driving by car on, writes the German Bild.

But the police took them away from the scene.

According to news agency AP started protesters early Sunday morning hike up to the luxury hotel Schloss Elmau, which should have been a hike of 8 kilometers.

22,000 policemen guard

The summit is extremely well-guarded. 22 000 police officers from all over Germany have been there to hold protest groups away from meeting participants.

Even journalists have been flown in by helicopter to avoid delays caused by the protesters, writes AP.

Earlier this week protesting over 30,000 against the G7 meeting.
