A powerful explosion caused damage to a convenience store in Malmö last night. There was also shrapnel damage to several parked cars.
– The blast was heard several kilometers away, says Magnus Lefèvre, duty officer in the Police Region South.
No man is believed to have damaged and no suspect has been arrested for blast attack, which occurred in the district Kroksbäck just before two o’clock. A large number of residents of the area sounded the alarm about the heard the blast.
Exactly what caused the detonation remains to sort out.
– But probably it is some kind of explosive device or explosive substance, says Magnus Lefèvre.
Police currently has no theories about what might be the underlying motive.
