Appeals Court: OK to do a search of Aftonbladet – Resume

 In late May published Aftonbladet masked images of two men suspected to be behind a robbery in the mall. Solna District Court then gave the prosecutor to conduct a raid on the newspaper to get over the images, which Aftonbladet appeal, with reference to the protection of sources.

     

Now the Court of Appeal of the Prosecutor line and states that there are no obstacles to make a search:

“Overall, the Court of Appeal noted that the basic conditions for the search are met and that the measure does not aim to seize an object covered by the rule of the seizure prohibition. Something obstacle to the search on the ground is thus not. ” they wrote in the decision.

Aftonbladet will appeal the decision to the Supreme Court.
