6.5 million Nissan and Toyota revoked – New Technology

After winter’s massive recall of all cars from Honda now takes Nissan and Toyota the step to recall 6.5 million cars to control the airbags supplied by Takata .

5 million of these will be the Toyota Corolla and Yaris models manufactured between March 2003 and November 2007, 1.27 million of them the cars sold in Europe.

Nissan has not specified which models it intends to withdraw, but 563,000 of the 1.56 million vehicles concerned have been sold in Europe.

Takata threatened with legal action in the US since several people injured when the airbags from the manufacturer tripped accidentally.
