Volvo slopes in generational – Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet

– We have basically sold out of the first generation of the XC90. The new one is on the way out and reach customers in late spring, says Volvo Cars spokesman Stefan Elfström.

Nearly 24,000 copies of the new XC90 is preordered, according to Volvo Cars.

Trends in March was different in different markets. In China, which is Volvo’s largest market, sales fell by 6.7 percent. But in Sweden sold 9.2 percent more cars than in March of last year, mainly due to the model V70′s strong position in the domestic market.

In total during the first quarter decreased Volvo Cars sales by 0.4 percent. 107,721 cars were sold. In Sweden, however, noted an increase of almost eight percent.
