Consulting company Max Matthiessen has done an education rankings where they compared 30 courses based on monthly salary in relation to the admission points on training (click here to see graphics). The ranking is based on the relationship between admission points for the fall semester last year and the average salary according to Statistics Sweden’s latest data from 2013.
Mathematicians profession, with 54,100 crowns in average monthly salary, is the group that tops the rankings as the training of the total 30 conjunction is the one that has the highest monthly salary in relation to the severity of entering the program. Although the ranking does not say anything about how difficult or easy it is to get through training once you have been accepted, thinks Anders Aronsson that it is important to think about what the possibilities are to graduate.
– You should study something you know you will be happy with the rest of his life, but it is also good to consider what the needs are in the labor market.
Anders Aronsson emphasizes that the ranking is only based on a comparison of 30 courses and do not apply to all programs in Swedish colleges and universities.
– We compared 30 programs in which education, occupation and wages are clearly linked but it is important to point out that there is a limitation of the comparison. All training is not as easy to compare because not everyone has clear links to the categories we have chosen to base, he said.
