Medal target for women's team – Helsingborgs Dagblad

The graying hockey Panther came in as a knowledge resource for the Sochi Olympics last year accounted for the door.

Now Boork head coach of the national team and thinks he can see a lot of positive changes.

– Sooner ended girls with hockey at an early age, now the conditions are about to change so that they can work more professionally when many established clubs in SHL’s going on with the women’s team. And nationwide series will be expanded from eight to ten teams. Many of the elderly in the national team were reluctant to continue but they have better opportunities, has been thinking about and making a start of the World Cup and the Olympics in South Korea until 2018.

Boork looking forward:

– Medal now in Malmö and final of the upcoming Olympics. Jaq think you should have high goals otherwise it is not serious, and it’s exciting for an old fox having the carrots in front of him.

The year before Sochi thought Boork that the ladies were too poorly trained.

– Now they’re about to get a better living in matches and training. The standard of the national series are great. And internationally, there has tajtat to between countries, although the United States and Canada of course is really good. Looking at the teams playing to get an eye-opener.

At the press conference on Sunday unveiled Boork a gross squad of 39 players. It should be slimmed to 23 players who will chase medal.

– Although there has been a downward trend after the Olympic silver medal in 2006, except for the fourth place in Sochi, so there is a new spark. May we troupe of 23 players in place without damage and flaws, I believe in a good World Cup tournament in Malmo.

There are still question marks for goalkeeper veteran Kim Martin Hasson.

– She has been X-rayed for their hip problems, announcement comes tomorrow (Monday), and then we’ll see if she can practice and play for the World Cup, says Leif Boork.

Last season’s Olympic star Valentina Lizana Wallner’s in his back pocket. She has not played for the national team this season when she moved from Modo and stepped down a division to Djurgården. She is listed in the gross squad that includes five goalkeepers.

Sweden is ranked fifth in the world and it means that Boorks national team must be ranked first or second in their group to advance to the quarterfinals.
