STOCKHOLM (SIX) Handelsbanken's outgoing CEO Pär Boman believe that  negative interest rates in the economy of the foundation would be worrisome.       "Basically, it's very worrisome if we get negative interest rates in  extensively in Sweden. It signals to the public  that one is in a precarious position, "says Pär Boman who believe that  negative interest rates risk creating a caution in  investment decisions. Too low interest rates can be counterproductive,  he argues in connection with the presentation of the Bank  Financial Report.       Handelsbanken according to Pär Boman no plans to introduce  negative interest rates on deposit accounts, even if interest rates would be  negative.       "We have no plans to offer negative deposit rates and I  believe that it is extremely difficult to tell a customer that you should  pay to have money in an account, "says Pär Boman.       At current interest rates, the bank has no problem with t hat refrain  from negative deposit rates.       "We are prepared to go the right way," he adds.       What would happen in a possible long-term scenario  negative interest rates may be so, come back to, say  Handelsbanken head simultaneously.    Johan Lind +46 8586164 48  mailto: johan.lind@six-group.se  www.blogg.six.seSIXNews  SIX News
