Editorial: Johansson stood collapse under pressure – Dagens Industri

SvD’s revealing that SCA CEO Jan Johansson went to the World Cup in Brazil with her daughter in the company’s renowned business jet, looked indeed like “more of the same “.

But the timing SCA’s financial statements and, in light of Sverker Martin-Löf’s resignation last week – since his son’s mission of SCA ended up in the spotlight – brought thoughts that this could be the straw also for Jan Johansson.

Now, he chose with heads held high face the reinvention of the issues and defend his honor. A stance that say the least facilitated by SCA delivered a good result that the course went like a rocket.

Defence strategy that can discerned is reasonably sturdy. And it aims to minimize the additional prestige and personal losses for the already wounded and bled sphere around Industrivärden / Handelsbanken.

SCA, let be very reactive, point by point taken measures to prevent recurrence of the most challenged.

A new travel policy means that many of the publicized trips would be direct violations of the day. An internal instruction shall be issued to any company affiliated to receive our consultants in transactions.

Most importantly, SCA during the gallows gave way in the review of hunting and flight histories. Alongside husrevisorn PWC will now Deloitte chairman Svante Forsberg and top jurist Johan Munck to investigate the issues before the meeting on 15 April.

A healthy competition should pave the way for both investigations will be sharper. It is also reasonable that the assignment is formulated so broadly that other than representation and benefits can be addressed, for example jävsproblematik.

As investigations have run their course owners may draw their own conclusions. The report must provide an unvarnished picture of what practices have spread, and not just comment on whether Jan Johansson and others have done formally correct or not.

Everything allowed is not judicious and appropriate. But all that is reckless and reprehensible nor is unforgivable. Especially if it’s about a president who seems to lay golden eggs.
