After a few days of fall mood turned up on US stock exchanges, thanks in surprisingly good sales figures. US consumers was more than expected in November and retail sales rose 0.7 percent, compared to the month before, according to a report from the country’s commerce ministry. Analysts had expected an increase of 0.4 percent.
Positive noises came from the labor market. The number of new job seekers fell by 3,000 people last week.
The Dow Jones industrial index rose 0.4 percent, while the Nasdaq composite index rose 0.5 percent.
