Spanner in the works for Skåne Journal fusion – From New Oresund

Skåne. Last year-end, it is thought that the editorial Sydsvenskan and Helsingborgs Dagblad be merged. But right now is the trade negotiations on ice tray then called in an external employee consultant to review the planned cuts, reports the news agency Rapidus.

75 editorial services, almost every third journalist at the two papers, are scheduled to disappear after Sydsvenskans purchase of Helsingborgs Dagblad. But the trade union resistance is compact and by calling in an external employee consultant hopes club chairman Pia char able to find other ways to save than through layoffs.

– This is such a major redesign that we felt we needed a pair of eyes from outside, she tells Rapidus.

Among other things, cultural, web, sports and culture editorial merged. But that process is now on hold until the beginning of October, when löntagarkonsulten completed its work.

Parallel investigates how management sites and printed newspapers can be coordinated. The ambition is to go down to two parts in both newspapers and tuck culture and entertainment in the News section on weekdays.

– We will take advantage of the various benefits that the newspapers have and produce an adjusted form. We already use the same technical system, but in different versions, says Lars Dahmén to Rapidus.

HD did a test with two parts as late as March. Monday to Thursday we went down to two newspaper backs and put into the sport, among other materials. After vigorous protests from readers did however sports section comeback a few weeks later. (NFO)
