Charlotte Petri Gornitzka received a monthly salary of 100,000 dollars when she took over as the acting Director General of Sida 2010, while she received hundreds of thousands of crowns from Save the Children.

Charlotte Petri Gornitzka worked in 2010 as General Secretary of the aid organization Save the Children in London. When her husband died, and the organization went through changes, she and the employer agreed that she would quit.

In May, she received the Vicariate of aid agency Sida. Meanwhile, money from Save the Children to roll in, about 90 000 per month until September.

– In the situation, with being a substitute, so I made the decision that it was reasonable. It fought not against the rules, she says to SVT.

According to Inger Ashing, chairman of the Swedish Save the Children, was Petri Gornitzka formally employed during the period, and had to pay, while she says to SVT that there was a severance.

Swedish Save the Children are no similar agreement under Ashing, who now must raise the question whether, for example, the settlement of salary in the international organization.

– Overall I think we as an organization have to be very careful about every dollar and make sure they go to the best possible outcomes for children, she says.
